You'd have been proud, Spike! We looked really, really good. One of our stars looked horrible, and the rest of the team picked it up.

We play Dayton on the 1st. We win that game, I predict us back up around #13 or so. Hell, 14-1 in non conference play is pretty impressive, when you consider our resume includes:

Defeating #25 UCal
Defeating #19 Texas A&M
Defeating #20 Texas Tech
Defeating Creighton

Going into conference play, the Mountain West is rough this year, with UNLV just on the bubble of top 25hood, and San Diego State and BYU being powerhouses, who knows what can happen. If we lose less than 5 all season, I think we'll be a top 5 team.

New Mexico might be the next national powerhouse for a few years too. We are the third youngest team in the NCAA, with only one senior and 3 upperclassmen total.
