I've got to put a gasket on a magneto cover located in an awkward position. Sadly, the gasket is a U-shape, so there's a chance it'll edge out of position while I try to close the cover.
The best move would be to tack the gasket temporarily in place with cover in a convenient location, so it stays as things get closed up.
I'm thinking a dab of grease or two might be enough, or even a tiny dollop of RTV. Any better suggestions?
