Tarnished Angels

[pmanton]

I recently watched the movie The Tarnished Angels on TCM. Can anyone identify the aircraft used in the movie? The low wing flown m\by Robert Stack really looked familiar. There was a bi-plane with a center section mounted fuel tank like a Tiger Moth but the tail looked wrong.

Probably a Gypsy Moth.

I believe there were two Culver Darts, one dark and one white. A Davis with spring steel gear, a Fairchild F-22, a Gypsy Moth, A Vultee A1-A and others I can't remember off the top of my head.
