It is, but the kids will be well into their 20s and maybe bumping the underside of 30 before it's completed, won't they? Haha. ;)
You'd be surprised at how quickly a -12 goes together, especially when you can throw a lot of manpower at the build, the students can work on it after hours, etc. It's assembled mainly with pull rivets...not as sexy as the flush solid rivets on other RVs...but the extra drag is no big deal considering the E-LSA limits on top speed.

Sounds like an awesome program to inspire young'uns about flight! :D

There's a school in Meriden, CT that I believe is just starting their second school year putting a -12 together and they're pretty far along. I think they said they were shooting to have it at Oshkosh this year.
