Does anyone know anything about these? They seem like alot of fun. Since I'm about to be losing my Cherokee deal and likely can't afford something certified I thought this would be a fun way to get my flying fix. At 6'3" 250lbs, what kind of fit will I have in this plane?
Thanks

is there a website for the company? I can find pictures but no website for them!

Well they started off life as TEAM airbike, then after some nasty litigation became ISON airbike. Then some guy got them and did not do any distributing of them. Now I think some German company has reverse-engineered most of it and is selling kits again. They seem to be hard to find anything out about. I don't think there is a website just for them. http://www.lonesomebuzzards.com/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl/Blah.pl? seems to be a forum that talks some about them.

Anyone know of anything similar to this? This is ideally what i would like to start my dream of aviation in. Something small but, can carry a passenger and relatively inexpensive.

I think the Breezy is quite a bit bigger. This uses a 60 hp rotax instead of an 0-320 or something. The single place airbike can be built as an ultralight and I the the gross weight of the tandem is still only 900 lbs.

I'd love to have a Breezy, but they are still a little higher than my budget.

the breezy my friend has, i'm pretty sure, had an O-200. i think his had super cub wings and tail. probably some of the most fun i've ever had with an engine.

Hmm. I thought they had more power. I think there is some company building them with SuperCub wings, (I)O=360 with a 5-blade prop and monster tundra tires. I don't think there is a place that thing couldn't go.

Well I posted a want ad on Barnstormers for one and I got a call from a guy today about a L'il Breezy. He was telling me about them and they seem like pretty capable planes. I haven't been able to turn up much about them on Google. They were made by Harper Aircraft but their site is down now. I looks like the wings came already together and you go all of the pre-drilled aluminum sheets and just riveted everything together. Does this still fall into thee experimental category? If anyone has any more information on these I'd be really interested. They look pretty cool, and a touch more capable than the Airbike.

Here are the best two photos I could find with a basic description.

So it seems no one knows much about this plane or has lost interest. On a more general note, he says he's been flying it unregistered for two years. I thought that when LSAs came around you have until a certain deadline to register them as either E-AB or E-LSA. If you missed that deadline you then had a boat anchor? So how could he have been flying this and just now register it as an E-LSA? If he did, would it need the 40-hrs flow off of it?
