Taking my daughter flying for the first time this weekend

My brother is an ER doc and cop (really!), and refuses to fly with me (950 hours, CPL). He doesn’t really like flying commercial either. It saddens me because we are really close. It’d be nice to have family to take flying.
 
I guess since they are your fondest memories you answered my question... I'm just hope if she grows up doing it she doesn't take it for granted. I always dreamed about aviation when I was a kid. Loved flying commercial jets, got a sightseeing ride in a helicopter once and a Cessna once, but didn't start actually flying until I was 18. I wonder if I would still have the same passion for it if it was a "normal" part of growing up.
My kids were weaned in the plane and up until college with many long trips. They have always considered it pretty normal until they compared life notes with friends that helped them understand how special those experiences were. Now, they only ask about going when their special someone shows interest, and then we go together.
