Touchdown! Greaser!
Yesterday was our 13th anniversary and we flew to Lajitas 89TE in the Viking, parked among the Gulfstreams and Lears, then got on a rubber raft and floated/paddled 10mi down the Rio Grande river in the Colorado canyon in the sun all day long. Beautiful rugged mountains, sheer rock canyon walls, desert vegetation mixed with river cane etc and birds, turtles, deer, free-range horses made for interesting scenery. The guide was a New Jerseyan who knew the place well despite only having 9mo experience here. A bit cool, especially with all the jumping into the rapids to dislodge the raft from the rocks. Tired, beat up feeling today - but the good kind!
