Here's a site that rated the Superbowl commercials:

Best:

Worst:

I don't agree with some of their ratings, especially on their Worst list. For example, I thought the Toyota genie was one of the best two commercials of the broadcast (along with the Oreo library riot), and I liked the Kia robot commercial. I think the concept behind the Kia space babies was too outdated to work, and I think the sound effects during the GoDaddy kiss went too far and ruined what otherwise would have been a great commercial, but I don't think either deserves to be on the Worst list.

I agreed with them about the Beck's fish commercial, but how on earth did they miss putting the Calvin Klein commercial on the Worst list?

On the Best list, besides the library riot, I especially liked Got Milk, Mercedes' deal with the devil, and Doritos' goat from hell. Tide's miracle stain and VW's faux Jamaican were pretty good too, but I thought Old Spice's guy wearing wolves was creepy and lame. I thought the one about farmers and the one about the young clydesdale were OK, but too heavy on sentimentality for my taste.

Ones I liked that weren't on either list were Budweiser's two lucky chair commercials, the one with the voodoo dolls, the car buyers being handed a baby wolf, and the donkey joining the team of clydesdales. I've never cared for E*Trade's talking baby for some reason. The M&M's list of things he would and wouldn't do for love was pretty good, but I had to slow it down to get the jokes.

Wilbon and Kornheiser seemed to like the Budweiser Clydesdale and the Paul Harvey/Farmers ones best. I almost agree. although the deal with the devil was pretty good but I think the Miracle Stain was tops -- never saw the Ravens shirt visual punchline coming.

I absolutely dislike Budweiser as a product but truly adored their commercial.

Who are Wilbon and Kornheiser?

I especially liked the Latin on the devil's contract when I did a freeze frame on it.

"No stain is sacred" was definitely a good punch line on the Miracle stain one.

GoDaddy was obnoxious, and the vast majority of viewers agreed. I refuse to do business with them primarily because of their SB commercials. That will continue.

The Clydesdale commercial knocked it out of the park....hit on all the core themes that strike a cord with most Americans. Their photography is always spectacular.

Yeah, I agree. They always put alot of thought into their commercials.

Tony Kornheiser was the obnoxious Washington Post sports columnist who made the jump to television. Fortunately ESPN dumped him from MNF when he refused to fly. He's no John Madden :)

I liked the godaddy commercial. Read where they did 45 shoots before picking the one they went with. Lucky stiff.

Funny that commercial was either loved or hated, pretty much split by the gender of the viewer. Personally, I thought it was sorta gross and over the top, but people are talking about it and that is the object of advertising. :dunno:

Having been raised on a farm I found the Dodge Ram commercial about farmers to be beyond sappy.

I hate all commercials, you guys saying how much you wuuuuuuvvvvv them just encourages them to make more. I don't think with DVR, the pirate bay and amazon prime, i've watched a commercial in it's entirety in 5 or so years.

Different strokes for different folks.

Superbowl commercials are the only commercials I watch.

I do not watch live TV, if my DVR dies I'll go without until replaced.

I liked the Dodge Ram, Clydesdales and Paul Harvey commercials but thought that, by and large, this was the WORST year for quality super bowl commercials in my memory.
