Super Connie video's

Those are terrific... good old Arthur Godfrey. He was quite a big deal around Teterboro, where I did much of my training.

I've seen those clips on YouTube courtesy of a poster named bomberguy... he has a huge archive there of fantastic vintage footage; a must-see for fans of the old heavy transports and bombers.

If anyone is interested in having their own copy of Flying With Arthur Godfrey, we sell it at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum for $15, IIRC. Go to www.1940airterminal.org, call them up, and you'll be supporting a great cause while getting your fix of the sounds of old radial engines!

My favorite is the scene where he feathers 3 engines and is still cruising along on one, meanwhile he's puffing on a cigarette.

Yea, that is a good scene. I found it interesting he shut down both inboards and one of the outboards. Can you say asymmetrical thrust!!
