Sun-on-a-BEACH!!!

Yup; I know you’re thinking that ol’ Jer has lost his mind and can’t properly exclaim or spell out the ol’ popular phrase. Well, fact is that the sun was plentiful and the sands o’ beaches were having a rip-tiding day because there was barely a sole treading upon its hallowed tern-a-tory. Though I didn’t see any terns I did turn several 180s to wing it back and forth for the bird’s eye view of the wonder that Walter waived to our fine state for all to enjoy. One must believe that Mr. Reid takes eternal pleasure, as did I momentarily, he from his heavenly perch, viewing his spectacular gift in memory of his parents.

Details for non-natives: Mr. Walter Reid in the late 1920s, as a resident of this town, gave the State of Maine a spectacular tract of land to be forever non-developed. Three years later it became Maine's first state-owned salt water state park. Mr. Reid gave the land in memory of his parents.
(and the picture encompasses only a moderate portion of the total donation)
