I'm looking for recent (within the past year) suggestions on airports in New England that allow camping alongside a plane, in this case a Cherokee 180. Paved or grass, and prefer 3000 foot and up runways. A plus would be some access to facilities at an FBO and proximity to nearby areas of interest/food, etc.
I am also checking the RAF site for options.

Godspeed (42B) and Mt. Tobe (N41) are two in CT. But no 3000' runways. No FBO at either, either. Godspeed is an easy walk to town (shops, restaurants, and theater) and also has loaner bicycles. Mt. Tobe has camping on-field, and is also adjacent to a commercial campground, but there's nothing else around.

I was cleaning out old emails just this morning and found one that mentioned airfield.guide. I didn't check it out back in 2024 (yes, I'm way behind), but I made an account today and started poking around. It looks like it has all of the filters you're asking about, and the focus is more on small airports you've probably never heard of. I can't speak to the quality of the content, but after ~10 minutes I've got a couple new places to check out.

Thanks for both of the responses. I'll take a look at Godspeed and Mt. Tobe.
I have also have an account with Airfield Guide and find it helpful. 3000 foot runways are a preference, not a requirement, so I thought I would start with that.

You should find Parlin Field in NH when you check the RAF info. They have organized a couple of work parties recently to improve the camping area there. Bonus: lowest fuel price in the area.

Check out Katama on the Vineyard. Nice grass strip walking distance to the ocean. FBO has facilities and a shower. I think they limit the number of days you can camp by tail number, but its a great spot.

Goodspeed is one of the pretty airport locations in the country. Located right on the Connecticut River, the approaches/departures over the water are fun, and with fall colors along the river, absolutely gorgeous.
