In the eyes of FAA, is the substance abuse and dependence the same diagnosis?
14 CFR Part 67 lists Substance Dependency as a disqualifying condition for the 1st class medical. FAA must assume an airmen of a disqualifying condition to be able to issue a S.I. under this reg.
Does this mean if I am diagnosed with alcohol abuse, do I not qualify for a S.I.?
