You need to register your aircraft if it weighs between 0.55 lbs. (250 grams) and up to 55 lbs. (25 kg)
They aren't waving the $5 REGISTRATION FEE but if you register before January 21st, they will refund your credit card. You get 3 years.
Being the cheap 'tard I am, I signed up. I did get one for Christmas and one for my birthday. I don't know if either are more than 1/2 a pound but it was free and why risk a civil and/or criminal fine.
