Try eBay, though you may want to search for "whelen."Is there an LED Replacement for the Whalen A610 strobe tube? The A610 is almost $200.TIA
you need to check one more piece of the puzzle, the STC that applies to the instillation of the strobes. The STC could have been approved with all three installed and no option to install just two even if the light pattern covers the regulation.Try eBay, though you may want to search for "whelen."
If thinking of replacing the tail strobe, check out:

On the other hand if you have wingtip strobes you may not legally need the tailtip strobe:

What company would that be?
I work for Compunetics Inc, In Troy MI. My boss had LED plane lights as a small project back in 2011 and has had this Strobe style replacement design on his Cessna since then. As a newer employee (last 7 years) while we have down time he had me redesign the project just for something to do. It works great but he is not to motivated for marketing and supporting It as he is eyeing retiring. So im seeing is there a market, i think so as those strobes are $140. I like the Idea of Retro Fit bulbs but mayby not designing a whole assembly. We started working on the Cessna 172 Beacon Light Assembly, possibly making a blade instead of cylinder design but i really like the idea of minimum retro fitting. The prices of whats out there in way too high for LED lighting. Im not an airplane guy so im learning. I do embedded software, circuit board and PCB design. -WilliamWhat company would that be?
I wrote a reply early that explained the current status, but it has not posted yet? These would be direct tied to DC and work 10V-36V, the strobe and sync up is internal on the board. As recently designed prototypes (tested for years on my bosses plane at the same light output) there would be a couple things to work out.@William Willette You have my attention; I have a failing original Aeroflash/Whelen strobe. A replacement that does not require wing tip modification would be greatly desired. Don't leave a brother hanging....![]()
