The terrorist acts stir strong emotions. Why is it that people are hardly concerned about the significant number of deaths every year that vastly outnumber the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks? If the government spent the amount of money being spent by the TSA we might have a much better return on investment (to use a Wall Street hot button). A good area to attack might be Medical Errors and Tobacco.

I have a right to pick and choose what I do, and how I live my life, when you jamb me with the NSA you deprive me of my rights under the constitution.

tyranny is when it is legal for the government, but illegal for the populace.

Thanks for that, Jason. I didn't mean for this to spiral into a political debate. I'm just so sick of flying commercial, for ALL of its facets. Flight delays, cancellations, the airport circus, flying from Omaha to Charlotte vis Dallas, Miami to Omaha via Houston, Omaha to anywhere I really want to go by car becuase airlines don't go there.

If I want a slow, uncomfortable, failure- and delay-prone travel experience anyway, well, heck... I've proven time and again that I can screw things up just as well as anyone!



Besides... it's an excuse to fly, and eventually an excuse to buy an airplane. Duh!
