stratux GPS adder and a Bad Elf question.

I built a Stratux unit and I am happy with the traffic and weather updates. Now my partner in the aircraft has an ipad mini with out GPS. My question is if I added the GPS receiver will that provide him with his location?

For my Bad Elf question. I have an old Bad Elf with the larger ipad plug can I use an adapter to connect that to his new ipad?

If you are adding GPS to the Stratux, then in the Stratux software make sure GPS is on. I think it is on by default. With Stratux connected to the iPad by wifi, open safari and go to 192.168.10.1 and check the switch settings.

The 30pin to lighting adapter should work. I had that for my gen1 iPad. I'm using Bad Elf Pro on Bluetooth for my new non GPS iPad air2. I was always afraid I would break the iPad with that Elf hanging on the connector.
