Stinson down - Alaska

A friend and customer of mine. He called the shop this morning and reported the ER docs had to glue some cuts on his head and he has a headache but that's the worst of the injuries.
 
Glad they are OK.

Stewart, do you know if that was a Franklin powered plane or was it switched to Lycoming?
 
I know he told me but I don't remember. I can find out. I want to say Franklin but it may have a Continental. I need to listen better.

I guess there are stc's for 470's so could be conti as well.
 
Confirmed. TCM 0-470R. I haven't seen pictures but the reports are the prop isn't bent so it was stopped when they hit.
 
man thats too bad. A 108 with a big motor is on my lotto list of planes. I dont know why. Just cause 4 seats, classic good looks, and horsepower.

Hopefully it flys again.
