I'm 35, live in South central Kansas.

I am learning to fly off a grass strip (SN63) in a 150H from a guy that has about 7,000 hours of flying and he's had his CFI since 1970 or so.

I don't think I could ask for a better instructor.

I've got about nine hours in my book and I think that as soon as I get my physical (three more weeks) he'll solo me.

I haven't' flown in a week, but the last time I was up we started to work on radios and navigation. He's on vacation, so it will be probably another week before I can get up again, unless this snow sticks around for another week.

We've taken a short (20nm) flight to a different airport and I shot 4 TG's there. All my landings feel pretty good. The last time I went up my CFI basically just told me what he wanted me to do. I screwed up one approach, but I corrected it without him prompting.

I'm excited to learn and hope I can figure out a way to fly cost effectively and eventually make a little money doing it.

Here's a video I made from my sixth lesson. I have some more footage I am working on making a movie out of too.
