Last night I was at FD77 near Tampa. It's pretty dark there, little ambient light. I looked up and saw the craziest thing. A string of closely spaced lights in the sky.

We have a banner towing operator at the field, so I thought it might be a lit up banner. But it was way too high. After a minute it just disappeared, like it turned off.

Went into the FBO and described to my buddy what I had seen. He googled it and showed me a picture of Starlink. Exact match!

Anyone else seen this?

Sorry, did a search for old threads, but missed that. Feel free to delete.

I saw UFO once. Big, slow, kinda gray colored.

It told me to have a good year...

Yep, saw it once. It was trippy, and very cool to realize the brainpower and industrial capabilities to make that happen. Made me excited to think what’s coming in 20 or 50 years.

I've seen it. Freaked me out until I learned what it was.
Yeah, pretty sure I actually said "WTF is that" out loud.

We have a decent view of the upper levels of Kennedy launches from here. SpaceX always puts on a good show. A few weeks ago I saw the burn from the reusable boosters descending. Crazy bright even in daylight.

But the Starlink light show is a whole new level of crazy.
