October 22, 2011 Transport

We currently have Prince (an older special needs boy) that needs to get from his foster home in Kenna, WV., to Scranton, PA., his adoptive home. Kenna, WV offers two Airports that are within 30 miles of Prince’s foster home:

I18 - Jackson County Airport - Ravenswood, West Virginia (located to the north of Kenna)

KCRW - Yeager Airport -Charleston, West Virginia (located south of Kenna)

The airport of choice for the Pilot can be coordinated once you select your flight plan. If you would like me to coordinate the pick up/ drop off I can help, let me know.

TRANSPORT – Saturday October 22nd :Kenna, WV., to Scranton, PA
PICKUP: Ravenswood, WV – Jackson County Airport, (http://www.airnav.com/airport/I18)
ALTERNATE P/U: Charleston, West Virginia – Yeager Airport, (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KCRW)

DROPOFF : Scranton, PA - Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport,(http://www.airnav.com/airport/KAVP)
ALTERNATE DROPOFF : Wilkes-Barre, PA – Wilkes-Barre-Wyoming Valley Airport, (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KWBW)

The goal of every MAESSR mission is to keep the flight crew safe and provide a safe and efficient mode of transportation for our furry kids in need.

I have been asked to help coordinate flights for the Mid Atlantic Springer Spaniel Rescue. Most of the flights are limited to the mid-atlantic area (Delaware-Maryland-Virginia-Pennsylvania-New Jersey) and we are looking for pilots. I can be contacted through a private message or through my email link on my flight journal blog.

THANKS!!!!

I'll be on a fall foliage flight that morning from 9-12 hopefully (with 2 passengers in the C172 already). Are you looking for pilots to take on a leg for this mission or just looking for pilots in general?

York might be a possible handoff point for a second leg to AVP.

Looking for pilots for the mission and for new pilots to sign up. So I guess that answer would be both! :)

At least I can add to the Springer Air email list and get the flights posted. If we get air transoport that would be great if not it will be ground pounding the whole way.

I may be able to do this one but not counting on it, starting the kitchen demo and gathering materials not to mention boxing everything up in the cabinets. Ughhhhh I hate remodel time.

Do you transport the dog in a crate? What's the dimension?
