Spotting Traffic behind you.

I chose not to because the silly string was magenta and if it happened to be a Cirrus behind me, he would likely fly right into me.
That's the winner of "Quote of the Day"

Completely agree - I see a video with the guy in the Cirrus that "saved" the Piper Arrow by telling him useless crap on the radio. In the new version he "scrambles" his Cirrus and uses magenta silly string to lead his victim to safety.

When I had a Traveler, I once heard ATC call me as traffic to an airliner.

ATC: Brickyard 475, traffic at your 1 o'clock, two thousand lower, a Grumman, also landing at Evansville.

Airliner: Uh. . . .yeah we see him. We can't tell what direction he's going, though.

It hurt me, I have to say.

I'm not even sure why ATC called that traffic... 2 miles behind and "no factor?" seems like wasted radio chatter...

Check SIX!

If I read it correctly, it was ATC's second call. We give traffic until it is in sight or no longer a factor. Some pilots find that comforting.

Never be caught unawares again!

One pair for behind you, one for under you!
