Final Approach
Ok, so I understand how to get my SPOT Gen 3 to report to Leidos with my flight plan. Do any of you know/understand what is meant when they say that if the SPOT doesn't report movement, it will trigger a Leidos alert? Is this something that is only active when the flight plan is open? I know I can go on the SPOT website and turn off reporting to Leidos (Lockheed). I don't want to have to do that after each flight, but I also certainly don't want to trigger false alerts in the system if a stationary SPOT unit might trigger and alert outside of a flight plan being open and active.
I'm going to be doing some remote area flying soon, and want to be sure I understand how this all works.
