Sonerai IIL info

A low time sonerai IIL has come up for sale near me. And for once in my life I have the cash sitting in the bank....

So it's got a 2180cc, I assume great plains, VW engine.

What can you guys tell me about this airframe and engine?

Both have proven to be fairly reliable. Hear good things about the flight characteristics. The VW engines take a little more tinkering to keep in top shape like valve adjustments and such but are fairly understressed. My only complaint is the takeoff and climb performance is a little lacking due to the short propellers required to run VW engine RPM's.
