Snowbird down near Atlanta - Airshow

Great to hear the pilot is okay. That's not the best ejection system on those Canadair CT-114 trainers. The pilot becomes a "skydiver" with a personal parachute that has to be activated manually after ejecting.

And although they normally have two spares with them (Snowbirds 10 and 11), not many of those CT-114s left to draw on.
 
I was there when it happened. Very glad it went down a few miles away only 45-60sec prior to being over air show. Saw the air show helicopter, Huey, crew run and search for pilot.
