I have noticed while working out, particular when doing my overhead tricep press on the cable machine, my elbow would click/pop. I moved to doing a normal tricep press on the cable machine and while my elbow snaps it doesn't snap/pop as much. I have never had any pain, just a weird feeling. I have never had any pins and needles or any tingling ever in my life. I went to PT and they said they could improve it, but could never get it to completely go away. The results are that it is better-ish, but still a weird feeling to have my elbows snap everytime I do overhead tricep press so I continue to do the normal tricep press where I push down with my elbows locked at my waist.

Reading reddit, for the PT that didn't work most had surgery for their ulnar nerve as well as "snapping tricep syndrome" I don't get any pain or tingling/pins and needles, its just annoying that I can't do a lot of exercises to hit the long head of my triceps. I thought about maybe getting some MRI and X-ray scans done, and depending on the results to get surgery done. If I were to get MRI scans that would have a recommendation of surgery, would this cause the FAA to defer my medical until I provide documentation regarding my post-op recovery as well as I never had any neurological issues prior to this, just discomfort (I guess thats the word, again I just get weirded out by the pop it doesn't cause any issues day-to-day or even under heavy load?) Given I don't have neurological issues, just that I get weirded out by the snap/pop, if the FAA will cause too much trouble I'd rather go the route of surgery.

I had similar. It wasn’t a nerve problem; it was a large bone spur that the triceps tendon was catching on. The tendon was partially torn from rubbing on the spur, which had grown into a hook, and had to be reattached.

That was in my right elbow - caught it in time that it wasn’t a serious issue. My left one was a different story. I’d had the same feeling in that elbow for a long time when working out and ignored it. Then one day when under heavy exertion, it popped. Then tendon nearly completely detached. Recovery and rehab was a big deal.

Don’t ignore this stuff - treat it like you would a consistent bad mag check or landing gear warning light.
