Smoke Hood

Anybody religiously carry a smoke hood for the plane or the home? I've been looking at the Dräger Parat hoods, but am having trouble finding a source. Just wanted to hear any pireps for hoods. Not expecting any war stories, but perhaps training stories.

The cheap hoods are not allowed for sale in the U.S., they lost their UL listing. Too many people found suffocated with them shrink wrapped to their heads. There are better systems available though through pretty much any fire safety equipment dealer, the Draeger ones come in a nice case.
