Saw a low-slung, low wing twin engine jet parked at Greeley on Saturday. Anthony, do you remember the tailno that I said I was going to try to remember? N41something? Didn't it look something like the maverick jet?

The engine mounts don't quite look like what I recall seeing...

The floor mat next to the jet says Maverick Jets.

That is a good looking plane, judging from that picture.

right, the photo I posted is a Maverick Jet...I just can't recall if that's exactly what we saw on Saturday. Hoping Anthony jumps in here with better recall than me.

Speaking of recall, did you remember to take the photos of your panel, Anthony?

Could it have been an Eclipse?

I don't think so - it looked smaller and sat lower... appeared to be a four-seater with Cirrus or Diamond type doors...but it's hard to say as we taxied past - should have walked over for a good look, or wrote down the number instead of relying in faulty memory...

As far as I know, all of the Eclipse jets are tied up in flight testing in the Southwest right now. It was uncertain until the last minute if they'd be able to get FAA permission to get one to Sun n Fun.

Looked something like the Maverick Jet -- How about the Paris Jet the original Very Light Jet.

I've always wondered if there would be a market for this aircraft with the FJ-33 engine in it, any thoughts?

There used to be one in one of Signature's hangars at MSP. I thought it looked pretty cool, but was told it had been waiting for parts for almost a year. I don't know if that was for the engine or the airplane though.

Greg,

Of course I forget the tail number also, but it looked like the Maverick Jet you posted. The two engines were placed in the rear, mounted on each side of the fuselage. Two seperate nacelles, not blended into the airframe. I think you nailed it Greg. $750K, not bad, I'll call my insurance agent and see what it will take to get me insured, not to mention the Op Ex and fuel costs. :)
