Refresh my memory, why is Sea Level pressure shown? Who uses it?
 
Yes it's sea level pressure in millibars minus the 100's digit(s). So that would be 1005.4 mb.

I guess people with altimeters calibrated in millibars would find it useful.

I know how to read it, what I was asking is WHY is it shown? I don't imagine it would simply be for the convenience of avoiding the millibar conversion into Hg.
