Line Up and Wait
I purchased this sliding canopy shade from a company in Australia two weeks ago. I was told it would fit my Grumman. It works great EXCEPT with my sliding canopy it catches on the frame and will not allow the canopy to open when in place. There is not enough room between the canopy and the body of the plane when the canopy slides back.
The shade attaches via very strong suction cups and can be opened or closed in flight. The shade is in great shape except for some small black markings on the fabric where it caught on the frame of my aircraft when I tried to open the canopy.
It was trimmed down from its original size to fit my aircraft and its current dimensions are listed below. It can be trimmed smaller if needed. I paid almost $300 with shipping.
