Skywagon Fly-in

Meetings like that are fun, good for you. Of course, one could simply reply:

Misery loves company.

When flying Skywagon, every XC is a long XC! :D

170+kt skywagons? I call BS
185kt C185 skywagon. Over 320hp and an amazingly clean airframe speed mods with wheel pants... Even for the tailwheel. Owned by a Cessna engineer. There's some other quick ones. Hell my stock 180 is a 140KTAS plane.

Firewalled in the descent maybe.
Uhhh no. That's book numbers bud. 182s do 135. Skywagons don't have a nosewheel and are fastback. Not much a Skywagon can't do.

But please, continue to make ignorant remarks about an aircraft you know nothing about.

There are 170 kt Comanche's??
he said handily, which means 15% faster or so in my book. Still, 180 knots. The owner probably also fishes a lot.

The turbo Comanche will do 200 true at altitude I'm told, but never verified in person.
