I have decided to drop my Garmin Pilot (Android/N7) subscription and go with iFly. I like the iFly interface better and, unlike Garmin, they are investing in development of their Android app. iFly also does not lock their users into a single proprietary ADS-B product.
While making the decision, I stumbled on this offer from SkyRadar: http://www.skyradar.net/skyscope-receiver/buy-receiver.html An introductory price of $650 (first 50 orders) for an AHRS box looks pretty attractive to me and I ordered one. If it doesn't work out and the list price goes back to $900 I figure I will be able to resell it and not lose much if anything.
I just thought someone here might like to know.
