Hey all, any advice would be appreciated.

I got a concussion about a year ago, and I went to a doctor to heal my brain. She ran me through the lifestyle changes I should make, and they worked. I was fully recovered shortly after. However, during the visit, she asked me if I had been worrying more after the concussion. I told her, "Yeah, I've been worrying I won't fly again, when these symptoms will go away, and if I will have to change careers". She then diagnosed me with adjustment disorder with anxiety. No meds, no treatment, and no counseling. I gathered all of the documents after a six-month recovery period from the concussion and went in for a 1st class medical exam. My AME issued a medical, and 3 months later, I got a letter in the mail requesting additional information regarding the adjustment disorder with anxiety.

They specifically wanted the counseling notes. I never had any medical records or counseling notes because there was never any treatment. I got the same doctor to write a letter explaining that it all resolved without treatment, and there are no records apart from the diagnoses and the resolution letter. I then wrote a personal statement to the FAA explaining that there is nothing else I can provide due to it resolving naturally. It coincides with my concussion symptoms resolving.

My two questions are, does this mean the FAA will not request any more info on the concussion because it wasn't in the letter? And, how long of a wait am I looking at for the FAA responding to my packet getting sent in?

If you did not lose consousness, and there was no CT of the brain, there is unlikely to be ANYTHING more from the FAA w.r. to that....and if the doc does an artful job on the adjustment disorder letter, that's also the end of that.

All the peanut gallery hysteria- The want to know that the adjutment is resolved. The tool for their acknowledgement would be an "eligibility letter".

Thank you for your input, Dr. Bruce! This is definitely good news to hear.

Ps make sure the letter sez soemthing like, "to my knowledge this is the on and only event in his medical hisotry"

I know a lot of people post the horror stories of FAA medical deferrals, and I wanted to show the other side of it. I hope this is encouraging to anyone in a similar situation. I got an eligibility letter from the FAA in the mail today saying I am cleared to exercise first-class medical privileges. My timeline includes:
September 20th- received the letter requesting additional information
September 25th- sent off the information requested to the FAA
October 2nd- FAA approved my eligibility
October 10th- eligibility letter came in the mail
