SI Renewal Question

My SI expired and my Class III certificate states "not valid for any class after (the expired SI date)". At this point is it too late to send in the required docs to maintain my SI?

You need to follow the instructions in the letter that came with the SI. If you don't have it anymore, contact the AME that did the original exam. He should have it in his files (the FAA sends him a copy).
As long as that SI authorization letter itself hasn't expired (usually you get a couple of renewals on the original letter), all you need do is what it told you to renew your medical. Of course, you're grounded until you do.
