April got a new Digital. On our trip to LA this weekend, she took some pics. This first one is of a unknown plane that flew right over us. I dont think I have ever seen the props stopped like this from a photo. Mine always come out blurred. I guess the shutter speed is pretty fast.
Thought Id share some photos.

depth perception is ruined in this photo due to the zoom that was used.. I'd be willing to be that tower is WAAAYY before the blimp.
 
The CMOS imagers used in most digital cameras can complete an exposure in as little as a hundred microseconds or so if the scene is bright enough. With a prop tip speed of 1000 fps that would mean a little over one inch of movement.

WRT the "tower", I thought it was the mooring pole for the blimp.

Yup. More accurately, I think it is a KC-130 tanker (outboard pods under the wings)
