9 shots fired and "some" hit the suspect. I really hope the other rounds are in a wall behind the perp. That's always pretty crazy when a cop hopped up on adrenaline discharges a weapon in a crowded area.
Pretty bad shooting too if the lunatic is still alive.
Might not have been a suicide-by-cop scenario, maybe he's just stupid and let rage blind his brain. We are humans, we pull bonehead maneuvers occasionally.
Typical............
Nice job by the cops though, kept him out of the terminal. Wonder what the woman's role in all this is? She looked just as loopy as he did.

Not at the airport though. Can't take a CCw in. I saw some TSA stats maybe a year ago where TX was I believe #1 in gun seizures at the checkpoints.Maryland man, jailed for malicious mischief, gets out of jail heads to the airport to get his girl and starts beating on a car windshield with a chunk of concrete. Yeah, nice stable individual. Texas is a far cry from Maryland. Not only do the police have guns but a good proportion of the bystanders.

"Police Surgeon"? That's a new one to me........ Is that a self appointed position? I have never seen or heard of a PD or SO that has a Surgeon on the books.
Gonna be interesting to see if he had any weapons.
Unless you've been in a shooting situation you don't know how accurate you will be. Even the best shooters aren't always good in an intense situation. A lot of officers have studied this video:The officer needs to be sent to the Gunsite Academy for the 350 Combat Class (99% of officers need it).
https://www.gunsite.com/
And there are numerous other combat handgun training courses around the country
As an old police surgeon I have taken the typical police department shooting training many times. It is pretty basic (way too basic - stand there and shoot at a static target at 15 yards)
Over the years I have been able to convince some officers to join the IDPA and shoot in the local contests. To a man they have come back and told me it was worthwhile. But better yet would be one of the combat training schools. One even moved on to shooting steel and became nationally ranked.
Personally I love the folks who couldn't be bothered to retreat to safety and continued loading their craptastic baggage into their cars. Southwest customers I tell ya, they'll get happily shot as long as they can secure A zone boarding lol. Flying has become an entitlement in this Country.
"Listen Betty, don't start up with your white zone s*it again."Sorta redefines the idea of "The white zone is for..."
My bad, wasn't clear enough. Yes, the last sentence was about the crazy guy .. um .. yeah ... not the cop ... the crazy guy ... the rock guy.Is that last part directed toward the guy with the rock or the cop? Your whole post is better if read with the shooter in mind, and not the bad guy.![]()
