To not address the drone issue is derelict. To lean back on the 1st amendment for protection of drone usage is a far stretch.

I'm sure it will end up in front of SCOTUS.

I agree with the First Amendment argument. A political leader who doesn't want unfavorable news coverage of a disaster response can
simply shoot down a news department drone getting the flood coverage. Not a far stretch at all.

That I understand. Although I'm glad they didn't have to kill anyone yet. But local LEOs may not have the training or restraint to follow the law or common sense.
