While on the topic of kids and flying... I am going to be putting my 3yo in the Super Viking this summer for the first time. What kind of set ups do you use for seats and restraints? A regular car seat or other harnesses like the one in the video?

Standard Graco seat pulled straight from my car does the trick. It has storage for snacks and sunglasses as well as a cup holder. If he gets bored he falls asleep just like in the car.

I made sure the sticker said that it was approved for aircraft and actually had to show the sticker on an Icelandair flight we took last month.

Most car seats work. Most boosters do not, for somewhat outdated reasons. But you don't really need one for a lap belt anyway.

Nothing works in the front seat unless it slides FAR back.

This seems questionable.
Can someone too young to operate a parachute fly aerobatics?
maybe this isn't in the U.S. and the rules are different.

That's how I was when I rode as a passenger for acro. Come to think of it, that's how I am every time I take off.

You only need a parachute if you exceed 60 degree bank or 30 degree pitch. Obviously, anything that looked like it exceeded those limitations was purely an artifact of the wide-angle GoPro lens distortion ;)

A different board had a Canadian pilot explain that they don't have the parachute requirement north of the border.

The Canada patch on his flight suit is a dead giveaway to the nationality.
It's nice she has two grab rails and knows to use them.
Head gets a little heavy in a couple of pullouts during recovery, but she managed it well.
