The talking head says it was a Queen Air owned by a 92 y.o. WW2 Fighter pilot, and steel dealer.

From my flying club's forum:

I saw how it happened from my office at Oracle. I looked at the window and saw him making a very steep turn from crosswind to downwind, something like 60 degree bank, and the next second he went into a right spin, nose down perhaps ~ 50-60 degrees, made couple of rounds and disappeared from my sight. Looked like a typical spin to me. Nightmare.
