Ack...city life
Record lows, cold unstable airmass over widespread region, strong wind gusts (EX: KPRB 28016G38), rain, lo ceilings, fz lvls down to surface, conditions intensifying Sat aftn through Sunday night, Monday mid-morning in some locations...all add up to no flying this wknd.

Storm watch in effect from OR border to San Diego. 3-5" snow extending down to coastal and interior valley floors. Expect up to 24" of snow at 4,000 and higher. Mtn passes may be closed. Flood watches in effect, especially in burn areas, but anywhere there are hills.

Conditions also extend into Las Vegas and Western AZ. Be careful out there.

OH, you mean the weather that we get every other weekend in the winter here in NJ. :D

Snow is just starting to stick here at the 850 foot level of Shasta county. The problem with snow in this area is that live oaks and gray pines tend to snap with the extra weight. 20 minutes up the road you get into the yellow pine and red fir that are better adapted to snow.
