"Oh, Kennebec, oh Sasanoa,(rivers)
Wherefore art thy waters?"

Not long after climbing out of Wiscasset.
The Kennebec is where Bath Iron Works,
Shipbuilder is located. The smaller Sasanoa
juts off it and toward Georgetown Island,
where I live, and it leads into Sheepscot Bay
and the ocean.

24 month transponder check is done(Concord,
NH) and first oil change since the new cylinders.

Great photos!
I've got a cabin waiting for me on Cobbosseecontee Lake in two weeks, west shore just north of the YMCA camp.

Can't wait!

You'll be just a few miles away from me in Manchester.

Suggesting all three of us should get together during the Cobbosseecontee period.

I used to belong to the yacht club there until they raised their rates. Being from So Massachusetts, not being a boater, and not vacationing there, we never really got to use the membership. It was more to support the lighthouse and for the courtesy of other member clubs that we even got it.
All in all, $26 wasn't bad but it was quite a jump from the $5 when we joined.

I'll keep you two posted, I know the Mrs has a few day trips planned near Bangor, doing some genealogy stuff. And I normally take my Mom to the coast on one day, she's in Randolph, and brothers around the area.

Corey, your Beech is based at MIFS at Aug? I worked there one summer during college, and flew the Sports and Sundowners often. Flew a few hours with Bill Sr in an LA-4-200.

I know that lighthouse! Most of my boating on the lake was at the south end, True's Cove when I was a teenager. My brother now has a home on the waterfront, and association members have summer only cottages that he takes care of the waterfront and grounds.

Indeed it is. You know where to find me if you get some free time!

That lighthouse you speak of is near my house. I don't live on the water, but have a right of way down to the lake. You can see that lighthouse from my right of way.

I'm leaving LAS today, in Maine Fri - Thur. May only have a few hours on Tues or Weds of non-family time before heading back to Quincy.

I'll be staying on the lake just one section north of the old YMCA camp.

A friend of mine lives on the same road as the YMCA camp - only a few houses from it, actually. Big old house with a ton of flower gardens.
