Seneca V annual - PA-34-220T

Hi guys,

I checked Air Power and it is pretty pricey. What's your experience with corrosion? They found a small pitt on one of the lobes which I know can deteriorate pretty fast once it starts to go. The other appears to be just a marking. One engine is better than two:smile:

How about a picture of the "pit"? Assuming the cylinders are first run why not just overhaul them bored to P.015" oversize. A lot cheaper than new. Going back to the begimming how much time is on these engines? Charlie Melot Zephyr Aircraft Engines

We decided to go for the new, pricing turned out to be just a bit more than boring them out. I brought in an outside mechanic and there turns out to be some discrepancies with the work. Some of it was based on "judgement" rather than the manual-so we are checking into details. Are their any pilots out there in the Bay Area that have had any issues with local shops? I don't want to name it but I would love to know if somebody else has a similar story...
