Negative. The self flying airplane award goes to the Cornfield Bomber. You can still see that airplane alive today in the NMUSAF in Ohio.

They tell a story about an Aeronca Champ where the guy hand propped it and it got away, taking off, flying until it ran out of fuel and landing upright in a field. Aeronca Champ, does everything at 60. Takes off at 60, cruises at 60, lands at 60. Not sure I believe it either though it does make a good story...
