Located off Phippsburg, Maine. The tramway is the oldest light station tram still in regular operation. Boathouse is at bottom; next building up is the engine house containing the machinery which powers the tram. Slightly up and to the right is the outhouse; not kidding. During winters when the light station is closed, thus without a keeper, if a United States Coast Guard helicopter crew is over the ocean and there becomes a personal "need," the crew will land the helo next to the lighthouse and the crew who happens to be in distress will walk down the tram to the "throne." Fact, not fiction.
Seguin is open for public tours from Memorial Day to slightly after Labor Day. Tour boat leaves from the old Coast Guard dock.
