Long time ForeFlight user, but let my subscription lapse.

Today, Seattle Avionics is having a 1/2 price sale..

For VFR flying, is the Smart Plates and Charts for $29 a good enough product?

Or, do I need Wing-X for flying VFR?

I really just want charts/ moving map, airport information on my iPad2

Can anybody save me from having to do the research?

Is Wing-X the near equivalent of ForeFlight?
.
Actually it's more bang-for-the-buck than ForeFlight, especially the three year deal. The WingX base price comes with a terrain database and georeferenced airport diagrams that I think only comes with the pro version of FF. WingX has a 30 day free trial. I suggest you download it and try it for yourself. Here is a link to the WingX channel on YouTube. You can watch a couple of videos and see what you think.

Wingx is the way to go. I believe you can get a 30 day trial with full features.

I did the free trial on wing x ,I'm staying with the FF pro.

Is Seattle Avionics selling Wing-X subscriptions, or are they selling an addin module, or enhancement?
