Searching for new club/rental option in Central MD...

Hey, all!

Currently flying out of Lee (ANP) with NAFC when I'm home from college, and while I love them and they served me incredibly well for PPL, availability just is not satisfying me. If I want to go fly, I have to schedule several weeks in advance. I'd be a fool to think I could expect a very open fleet at any flight school, and I'm aware this is the reality of renting, but if I'm paying dues I want to be able to go fly on a semi-reasonable timeframe. Thinking about getting checked out in more aircraft there, but I'm also wondering if it might be worth branching out elsewhere. Been looking at clubs on AOPA, but a lot of the smaller ones have buy-ins that I just can't afford.

I'm wondering if anyone here has insight on the following questions:

- First off, does anyone have recommendations for clubs or schools to check out within 45-ish minutes of the Baltimore area?
- How's availability at Clearview Flying Club looking? Seems decently appealing, though I'd need to speak with them about dues.
- Same question for Fort Meade Flying Activity ^
- Any intel on W50 (Davis/Laytonsville)?

Clearview is cool, but I can't speak to their availability.

Last I checked with FMFA (a couple months ago?), they had some slots open.

I was potentially interested in a tiedown at W50 a few years ago but had a hard time reaching them by any means.
