Hi

Interested in Seaplane rating. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I rent seaplanes @ Northwoods Aviation @ Cadillac, MI. They also do a
significant amount of SES training. IIRC; they've got a SuperCub, Husky
and C185.

Then, in a few months, you can return and the get your skiplane signoff!

I will second Northwoods aviation. I got my seaplane training there in the Supercub. There are a ton of different lakes nearby which makes for some great experience.

Hmm, maybe I'll make a trip up there for my next BFR

Now let's say I wanted to go off the deep end, anywhere to go for a MES?

If your fine with traveling, I've had several friends fly down to Jack Brown's Seaplane base in Florida.. They train you in 3-4 days and take your checkride on the 7th or 8th flight hour.. I got mine in a Citabria 7GCBC in 10 hours. Easy and "FUN" add on to get!

Twitchell's Airport, Turner, Maine!

They're terrific; pilots come from Europe to get float plane ratings from them; a fairer operation will be hard to find.

Before I was to hit "Submit" I saw the MES reference. Twitchell's, I suspect, only offer SES, but they've been doing it for many decades.

It looks like they'll rent you the floatplane after you get the rating. Very few will do this.
