I'm toying with the idea of doing the PP-ASES add-on this winter as an excuse to get away from the cold (and for other reasons, too).

Can anybody recommend a Florida school?

This guy has a nice Cessna 180 Amphib and is near St. Augustine. He does the training in fresh water at the nearby Crescent Lake, not the little lake you see in the picture on Airnav.

There's a restaurant on the field named Hijackers. It was named before 2001.

There is a well known outfit in Winter Haven, FL. The water runways are near the Winter Haven airport. "Jack Brown" or something like that is the name of the business, I believe. I have read article(s) in AOPA and/or Flying on the training they provide. Jack Brown's Seaplane School, Winter Haven, FL BROWN'S SPB LOCATED ON ADJACENT LAKE (I cut and pasted this from the airport info).
