Talked to a witness (a friend in Oz) last night. Low altitude stall and spin.

Saw that. Really sad, perfect weather day too. I wonder why such a mistake was made.

Has happened to many Beavers that are "cranked and banked."

I'm fairly sure that is the guy I flew with in 2004 or so when I was in Sydney. I was in the right seat. Margy was in the back. We had two other (not related to us) tourists in the middle seats. Margy and I had headphones with mics talking to the pilot. He didn't give the other tourists mics. He gave me a nice running commentary on how to take off the Beaver on the water.
