Scott Bloomquist (unlicensed pilot) killed in small aircraft crash

Definitely. There's a bit more to the rationalization in the witness statement. If I'm interpreting the handwriting correctly it reads "...proceeded to tell me about a spot on his heart (widowmaker) and that he is not gonna die in a hospital bed..."

Nauga,
who understands it's a witness statement, not literature
My best attempt:

I was working in shop late and fell asleep in chair and was woke up by Scott pulling into shop and got out. Said to me that I can walk away and not listen to him if I want but I said that you always been there for me so whatever it is I got you. Proceeded to tell me about a spot on his heart (widowmaker) and that he is not gonna die in a hospital bed and told me his plan and told me I wasn't having his sight so I don't call cops or anything. Said that he was gonna fly his plane into barn.

Unintended suicide? THC, Meth, and airplanes don't mix well.
So, we know it was a suicide, but let me ask about the tox report.

To me, it doesn't look like THC was part of the equation. Specifically, there was none in his blood. Just in his liver. So he used it in the past, but the cocktail of the day seems to have been booze and meth, rather than THC and meth.

Am I reading that right? Or would someone high on weed test negative in the blood and positive in the liver?

That sheriff was destined to be an MD.

Can one have a widowmaker without being married?

Dang! You guys start camping at OSH earlier and earlier every year!:);)
I hate crowds, so I always come a month early. No lines!

Actually, here as an instructor in a DOT accident investigation class.

They've already got the AirVenture 2025 T-shirts in the museum store. Always impresses folks when I wear them at EAA meetings before the event has even happened.
