A passenger who often got motion sickness tried a prescription scopalamine patch recently, and it worked well.

The patch supposedly provides 72 hours benefit. It's not cheap, though. My question: if she uses it for just one day, can she seal it back up somehow so that it can be reused at a later date for remaining 48 hours of benefit?

I use transderm scop patches for offshore fishing. They are ka godsend for me. I have removed and reused them with limited success. I still feel fine the second time around most of the time.

It's important to unwrap it carefully and keep the peel off shield to place the patch back on it. Then slide it back into the foil wrapper.

I try to store it in a cool place out of the sun. The adhesive is a bit weaker the second time around, put a piece of medical adhesive tape over it if it works loose.

Be careful not to touch your eyes after handling the patch. Wash your hands carefully after putting the patch back on.
